Learning the Art of Touch and Alchemy

The emphasis of the pharmacist’s responsibility has moved substantially towards the utilization of scientific knowledge in the proper use of modern medicines and the protection of the public against dangers that are inherent in their use. The main duties of pharmacists include regulatory control and drug management, community pharmaceuticals, working in a hospital pharmacy, as well as various academic activities, the training of other health workers and research.

In all the above fields, the main aim is to ensure optimum drug therapy, both by contributing to the preparation, supply and control of medicines and associated products and by providing information and advice to those who prescribe or use pharmaceutical products. The pharmaceutical study program was developed and designed to train students to serve as institutional and community pharmacists.

Pharmacists with a degree have the opportunity to join a hospital or community pharmacy.  There are gaps in pharmacists’ knowledge of what patients and the public understand about pharmacy’s place within care pathways. Pharmacists do not fully understand how their expertise is perceived and there is much to learn about the confusion that surely exists around pharmacy’s retail and professional roles. These days, pharmacy schools are being opened to provide students with the right education, to bridge the gap and help them fulfill their role as a qualified pharmacist.

Physical Therapists

What is the job of physical therapists, or often also called PTs? This is the biggest question in the mind of general public. We can best explain their duties by saying that they are the people who help injured or ill patients to improve their movement and help to manage their pain. These therapists are often an important part of rehabilitation and treatment of patients with chronic conditions or injuries.

Physical therapy, as a profession, needs a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree. Many top physical therapy schools are come into existence to provide the full and appropriate knowledge in the particular field. The employment outlook of physical therapists is projected to grow rapidly and it is faster than the average for all occupations. Physical therapists will also be needed to treat people with mobility issues stemming from chronic conditions, such as diabetes or obesity.

We can easily say that the profession of physical therapy appeals to people who enjoy physical activity, service to others, and one-on-one therapeutic relationships. Physical therapists are mainly providing the ‘art of healing people by touch’ and both pharmaceutical and physical therapy students can find work in different centers according to their degrees.
